The Summer School is intended for graduate students and postdoctoral fellows working in this field, with some places available for CREATE undergraduate summer interns. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn from experienced researchers in a small and comfortable setting. In addition to classroom lectures, students will have an opportunity to present their own research and to attend a field trip to Environment Canada's Centre for Atmospheric Research Experiments (CARE) in Egbert,Ontario.

Topics to be covered include arctic climate change, arctic ozone loss and climate, atmosphere-surface exchanges and impacts on permafrost and sea-ice, terrestrial ecosystem change in the Arctic, applied micrometeorology in the Arctic, high-latitude dynamics, modeling long-range transport, remote sensing, and arctic measurement networks.

Confirmed speakers include James Drummond (Dalhousie University), David Hik (University of Alberta), Matthew Hitchman (University of Wisconsin-Madison), Dylan Jones (University of Toronto), Markus Rex (Alfred Wegener Institute), Ralf Staebler (Environment Canada), andTaneil Uttal (NOAA).

Admission to the summer school includes all on-site food and accommodation. A chartered bus will be available to take attendees to and from downtown Toronto, however, attendees are responsible for travel between their home institution and Toronto or Alliston.
