'Polar Graduate Programmes Database' Now Available
Wed, Sep 21, 2011
The Association of Polar Early Career Scientists (APECS), together with the University of the Arctic and the International Antarctic Institute (IAI) are pleased to announce a great new resource for young researchers looking for graduate programs related to polar and cryospheric research and to help graduate programme recruit new students.
http://apecs.is/graduate-programmes
This searchable database includes graduate and certificate programs, as well as short courses that have a focus or specialty in any field of Arctic, Antarctic, Alpine or other areas within the cryosphere – ranging from social sciences and law to ecology, geology, physics and more. The purpose is to provide prospective students with information on those programmes, such as disciplinary focus areas, website links, typical program duration, application deadlines, costs and, where available, financial support.
We encourage universities and individuals to enter programme information directly to the database, as well as posting current openings for graduate research and teaching assistantships on the APECS jobs page: http://apecs.is/jobs.
If you have questions about the database or suggestions for improvement, please contact:
