Today, 30 January, the four-day intensive course ‘English for International Lecturers’ has started in the Northern (Arctic) Federal University. It is arranged for lecturers from Russian partner-universities participating in Barents Cross-Border University Programme.

The biennial Inuit Studies Conference serves the critical function of drawing together scholars and Inuit representatives to share research results in the fields of archaeology, anthropology, linguistics, political governance, environmental science, health, education, and culture

The 18th Inuit Studies Conference will be held October 24-28, 2012 at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, DC. Recent dramatic transformations in the polar regions have brought inuit studies to the forefront of policy, international relations and scientific work.
