Call for Papers: Northern Studies Virtual Conference 2012
Fri, May 11, 2012
The Northern Studies Virtual Conference invites students involved in undergraduate, masters, and doctoral studies to submit abstracts for the virtual conference to be held online on 28 August 2012. A virtual conference utilises the video conferencing capabilities of “smart classrooms” to established real-time video connections with campuses around the world.
To provide as many students as possible the opportunity to benefit from the virtual conference, abstracts from any field of study with a connection to the multidisciplinary field of northern studies (eg. music, history, archaeology, literature, drama, folklore) will be considered.
Abstracts must be submitted no later than 22 June 2012. If selected, the paper will be presented in front of an audience of interdisciplinary students, interested researchers, and academics. Presentations must be in English and of a maximum duration of 15 minutes in length. Each presentation will be followed by a short Q&A session of around 5 minutes.
