Through the agreement, NArFU will manage UArctic funds coming from Russian member fees, as well as contributions from other public and private sources in the Russian Federation. NArFU will establish a special development fund to manage these contributions for the benefit of UArctic activities in Russia. This arrangement reduces complications and transaction expenses in transferring funds in and out of the Russian Federation.
NArFU is a key member of the University of the Arctic, hosting the UArctic Research Office, and participating in a significant number of Thematic Networks and other activities.
