The workshop will be held at the University of Washington, Seattle, Washington on Friday, 1 May 2015. The focus will be on the history of the Québec/Nunavik relationship, the policy "dialogue" between Plan Nord and Parnasimuatik, the development, economic and social relationship, environmental management, and education. The book promises to be the first one to address this unique relationship.
The workshop will provide the opportunity for interested researchers to map out the organization for an edited book including: share research ideas, provide feedback, identify themes and directions for a peer-reviewed volume, and set a timeline for the writing/submission of the chapters. Graduate student submissions are also welcome.
If you are interested in participating in this book/research, please send a draft title and abstract to the Canadian Studies Center (canada@uw.edu) or Nadine Fabbi (nfabbi@uw.edu) and Vincent Gallucci (vgallucc@uw.edu) by Friday, 20 March 2015.
