Arctic Arts Summit (21-22 June 2017) strengthens the arts and culture in the north and underlines the role of circumpolar cooperation. At the summit, policymakers and stakeholders from the cultural sector throughout the Arctic region will present, analyse and discuss the role of arts and cultures in the Arctic.

The annual travelling symposium Calotte Academy begins its tour from Inari, Finland on June 1. With perceptions of the Arctic as its main focus, the 2017 Calotte Academy examines the perspectives of different Arctic actors as well as different northern discourses.
