Applicants should have a strong foundation in biophysical ecosystem science while also addressing challenges in environmental justice, human health and well-being, and/or environmental disparities in marginalized communities. Applicants should have a research and teaching program that employs field- and lab-based methodologies. The department welcomes applicants specializing in any relevant subfield of ecosystem science, as well as applicants working in a wide variety of ecosystem types, particularly those who could take advantage of Dartmouth’s expertise and resources in polar systems.
A PhD in ecosystem science, ecosystem ecology, environmental science, global change biology, or a closely related field is required. Applicants must have a PhD by the appointment start date.

 - Statement of prior and envisioned contributions to diversity in academic research, teaching, and/or service; and
