Call for abstracts:
Are you interested in discussing and sharing your views on the past, present and future of Arctic telecommunications infrastructure? If so, we warmly invite you to join us in Rovaniemi at the Arctic Centre, University of Lapland, on 17-18 September 2025.
While some of the presentations have already been invited, we are now opening a public call for a limited number of presentation slots. (If we receive a large number of high-quality proposals, we may consider revising the program to accommodate additional talks). We warmly welcome presentations from the representatives of industry and different levels of government.

September 17, 2025 (tentatively 12:00-17:00):
- Opening remarks and introduction
- Session/Theme: Arctic telecommunications infrastructure: local needs and local voices Coffee break
- Session/Theme: The role of the Arctic in international and global telecommunications networks
- 18:00 onwards, self-paid dinner
September 18, 2025 (tentatively 09:00-13:00)
- Session/Theme: Arctic telecommunications infrastructure and security Lunch Wrap-up discussion and ideas for future collaboration
- 16:00 onwards, opening of a special exhibition on telecommunications in Northern Finland
